This Exhibitor’s Manual has 7 parts, including: exhibition profile, exhibitors registration, must-know to the exhibitors, stand construction, exhibition and exhibition dismantling, exhibition services, exhibits transportation and traffic, advertisement and seminars. The purpose of the manual is to inform you-our honorable show participants thoroughly of the various activities of the event and the corresponding time schedule and to facilitate your trip to Shanghai, China and well stage your excellent business.

AEROTECH 2008 & METALTECH 2008 will play significant role in boosting the communications of the related sectors in China with the international organizations and businesses and help introduce the advanced technologies as well as products while showcasing the mien of the enterprises. Further exploitation of the markets will also feature the event. 6. Booth information
a. Shell scheme: build as per international standard, 3 walls, fully carpeted, 1 table and 2 chairs, 2 spotlights plus fascia (indicated company name in English and Chinese plus booth number)

b. Ground only: special decoration with clear booth number and company name is needed for such areas.

Part 2 Exhibitors registration

1. Registration of exhibitor’s info (see to Form 1), which is to be used in the publication of the Show Directory and the making of the fascia.
2. Booth registration (see to Form 2), which is to be used in the construction of the stand and water, electricity and compressed air preparation.
3. The organizer is responsible for the registration of the exhibitors. The exhibitors please fill out the forms and return them by July 20, 2008 . Should any change happen, please inform us as early as possible.

Part 3 The must-know to the exhibitors

All the exhibitors, including those of the companies and/or individuals must abide by the regulations to ensure the smooth running of the event.

1. Hall aisle: An aisle of at least 0.5 meter wide for firefighting purpose must be left between the walls of the exhibition venue and the booths and the aisle between the booths must be at least 3 meters wide.

2. Exhibits registration: All exhibits that will be taken in and/or out of the exhibition halls must be registered.

3. Censorship
All the publicity materials, including those to be distributed and/or the audio-visual materials to be played on spot must be censored and ratified beforehand. No parts should contain such contents as to violate China’s relevant laws and regulations.

4. The demonstration of the exhibits
All the exhibits to be demonstrated should conform to the following regulations:
a. A detailed written description of the exhibits to be demonstrated should be delivered to the organizer.
b. Provide highly reliable safety conditions for the operating and demonstrating of working exhibits in accordance with the international safety standards. Working exhibits must be fully manned and attended at all times while in operation.
c. The sound generated by the working exhibits must not cause annoyance or interference to the other exhibitors. Demonstration could only be conducted at the time and place specified by the organizer.
d. Fumes, exhaust gas and other gaseous irritants generated by the working exhibits must be piped and discharged through the hall’s air filtration and exhaust system. This must be arranged through the organizer and a quotation will be provided upon application.
e. Fire, sparks, welding and inflammable/explosive gas/materials are prohibited
in the venue. Should an exhibitor fail to meet the above requirements, his exhibition will be terminated at the organizer’s will.

5. Rules on entry and exit of halls
a. The passes of the exhibitors, which could not be transferred, will be issued by the organizer when registration with the presentation of the booth confirmation.
b. In the exhibition preparation, exhibition and the post exhibition dismantling, the exhibitors should wear the passes issued by the organizer to enter and exit the exhibition hall.

6. Liability and insurance
a. The exhibitor should be exclusively responsible for all the losses of property and/or injuries to humans hired by him or his agents.
b. If the exhibits are damaged or stolen during the exhibition, the exhibitor should report to the police as soon as possible.
c. The organizer here remind the exhibitors to be aware of the necessity of anti theft, especially when construction and dismantling of the booths and the running of the exhibitions. Though the organizer has public security personnel,
the exhibitors are still responsible for their own belongings and exhibits. The organizer is free from liability for any loss or damages hereby.

7. Fire precaution and security
a. No smoking except at the special places designated by the organizer. Should any accident happen due to the cigarette smoking, the smoker will be fully responsible for that.

b. Fireproofing materials with licit documents should be applied to the booth construction.
c. Exhibitors’ displaying exhibits that require chemical/foam fire extinguishers must provide such fire fighting equipment in their booth, at their own expense. The organizer will assist and advise upon request.

8. Stand construction rules and regulations
a. Shell Scheme Package
i) No additional fitting, including additional name board, cover, logo, balloon, etc. may be attached, nailed, screwed or drilled to the Shell Scheme booth structure. The Official Constructor reserves the right to charge the Exhibitor/his contractor for any damage caused. If you require assistance in hanging or displaying your exhibits, please consult the official constructor.
ii) No painting of the wall panel is allowed. Exhibitors who wish to have the wall panels painted must inform the Official Constructor, who will provide a quotation and carry out the work.
iii) Any freestanding fitting or structure, higher than 3 meters, needs to be approved by the Organizer, this includes towers, logos, etc.
iv) Any change to the type or color of the floor covering provided, must be applied to the organizer and the cost shall be borne by the exhibitor.
v) Booths at the corner can make one more wall open with same price.
vi) Exhibitors who do not use the standard facilities provided will not be entitled to ask for the reduction of the unified charge.
b. Ground only package
i) No booths should be higher than 5 meters. (Special requirements needed to be ratified before construction)
ii) No part of any structure of exhibit may extend beyond the boundaries of their space allocated.
iii) No suspension is to be made from ceiling of the Exhibition Hall, nor any fixing or attachment be made to the floor, column, wall or any other part of the building structure.
iv) False ceiling construction will need the check of the design drawing before construction.
v) Floor should be properly covered.
Note: if the exhibitor needs to rent equipment for the exhibition, he should report the
specific needs to the organizer by July 20,2008 and pay as per the price listed in this manual.

9. Rules of no obstructing the aisles and interfering with the neighboring booths
a. During construction and dismantling of the booths, the material and tools should be well placed to avoid interfering the others. Exhibitor’s booth must be fully staffed and operational throughout the Showtime. Exhibitors must not sponsor any activity, which causes, or is likely to cause annoyance to visitors or other exhibitors.

b. All activities of the exhibitors and his staff must be confined to the booth or site allocated. No advertising or canvassing for business may take place elsewhere in the exhibition hall. This includes the distribution of leaflets, brochures, journals, etc. Exhibitors may not use the exhibition for recruiting staff, other than to seek local agents for their products.

10. Exhibits movement
a. No transportation of exhibits is allowed during the exhibition hours. The organizer is responsible for the security of the overall show, yet the exhibitors should also pay attention to the security of all their prosperities, inclusive of the exhibits, personal belongings and the rentals. One person should be responsible for that from each booth.
b. If an exhibitor wants to carry commodity out, the certificate issued by the organizer must be produced. The international exhibition pavilion is the customs bonded area and all the exhibits must be checked by the customs before being moved out of the exhibition hall.

11. Safe power utilization
a. General info on power supply
Supply voltage: single-phase 3 wire system-220 volts
Three phase 4 wire system-380 volts
Voltage level maintained within ±6%
Frequency: 50Hz maintained within ±1%
b. Exhibitors requiring different voltages or frequency or special connections to equipment must arrange for their own transformers, converters, boosters etc., and the organizer will assist upon request. All electrical installations and equipments must comply with the local government regulations.
c. For operational safety reasons, only the organizer can carry out the electrical mains installation work. Power supply will be switched off daily at the end of the show.
d. Safety should be guaranteed to the unmeant touch of the electric wire and if the electric connection is believed as menace to the safety of the people around, the organizer is entitled to terminate that exhibitor’s show immediately.

12. Dilapidation redemption
a. Exhibitor is responsible for the costs of repairing or replacing any damage or dilapidation to the exhibition premises, whether by themselves, their agents and/or contractors or by any person or persons employed by him.
b. The designated booth constructor decides the redemption fee of the damaged shell scheme booths.

13. Reservation of rights
Should the exhibition be postponed, curtailed, extended, temporarily closed, in part or completely or cancelled because of force majeure like earthquake, wars etc, the exhibitors shall not be entitled to rescind their contract, claim damages nor reduction of participation charges.
If GVI is responsible for the cancellation of the event, no participation charges will be payable.

14. On-spot director
The organizer and the owner of the exhibition venue are in charge of the venue together during the exhibition.

15. Booth transfer
No exhibitor could transfer his booth(s) to other individual or organization.

Part 4 Stand construction, exhibition and dismantling

1. Exhibition construction
a. Duration: Sep.15-16, 2008.
b. Work hours: 9:00-17: 00 daily.
c. The construction must be finished before 17:00 on Sep. 16, and if not finished at the due time, overwork should be applied to Jinhan before 15:00 and corresponding fee should be paid to Jinhan.

2. Exhibition
a. Duration: Sep.17-19, 2008.
b. Exhibition hours: 9:00-17:00 (9:00-14:00 on Sep.19)
c. Requirements:
* Personnel arrive at the stand on time with proper attire.
* The stand should be well cared before 17:00 daily (14:00 Sep. 19).
* Should anything unexpected happy, please follow the instructions from the staff on spot.

3. Exhibition dismantling
a. Date and time: from 14:00 Sep. 19,2008
b. Requirements:
i) Take care of the safety of the exhibits and personal belongings.
ii) Must abide by the time specified as to exhibition dismantling and should
follow the unified arrangements of the organizer regarding the exhibits
transportation.
iii) All the exhibits should be given proper certificate at the organizer’ on spot office before taken out of the exhibition hall.

4. Daily cleaning
a. The organizer is responsible for the cleaning of the whole venue and the exhibitors are responsible for the maintaining of their booth area.
b. If the exhibitors will produce some rubbish during demonstration, they should inform the organizer beforehand to arrange the proper disposal.
c. The exhibitor should pack the rubbish at the end of each day’s show and move the empty carton or crate to the proper place.

5. Water, power and compressed air supply
a. Each shell scheme booth is furnished with a 220V, 50 Hz, 15A socket.
b. Those exhibitors, who need water, electricity and/or compressed air, please report to the organizer before July 20 by filling out the corresponding forms and return to the organizer.
c. The fee for the ordered water, electricity and compressed air should arrive at the organizer designated bank account before July 30. In case of delay, a 30% urgent fee is needed. If new items need to be added on spot, an additional 100% fee is needed. For specific price, please see to the corresponding quotation. The organizer only receives the fees on the behalf of rentals provider.
d. The materials for temporary power utilization should be furnished by the user.
e. 15 minutes after the closure of each day show, the power will be cut off and if 24 hours power supply is needed, an effective contact with the stand constructor is needed and the expenditure is borne on the exhibitors.

6. Translators and receptionists

Transportation directory
We take pleasure in informing you that Schenker (H.K.) Ltd. has been appointed by the organizer as the official forwarder for AEROTECH 2008 & METALTECH. 2008 Exhibitors are therefore requested to consult Schenker for any matter concerning forwarding of exhibits to Shanghai fairground and on-site co-ordination.
Schenker are the sole on-site transportation contractor entitled to be responsible for going through all customs formalities and handling exhibits after their arrival in Guangzhou.

The Show Directory, containing the information of all the participants together with
their exhibits, will be extensively distributed to the visitors as well as local government bodies, institutions, associations, large and medium size enterprises and
distinguished individuals. Hence the exhibition directory is a very good carrier for the listing of advertisements.

The admission pass is the legal identification of Exhibition Hall entry, totaling 20,000 pieces, being distributed from September to the end of the event.
